“My wife and I selected Michael Nash from among five separate bids for a considerable renovation and expansion of our home. Michael Nash was the second lowest bidder, but our confidence in Sonny Nazemin’s eye for design and considerable number of award-winning designs was crucial in our initial selection. We have a grand house in Reston built in the late 1960s. It has solid bones but really needed a whole house renovation. We also needed more space to house our extended family. Our project consisted of a new two-car garage, siding, roofing and a totally new floor consisting of a master suite and bathroom. From the start of the project I was impressed with the one price upfront to complete the project. Sonny navigated our plans through the difficult process of approval by our local Design Review Board. His personal attention and negotiation with the board led to the rapid approval of our project. Follow on work for our front porch and driveway was reasonably priced. When we requested a re-design of the ceilings for the master suite, Sonny spared no expense hiring several architects to arrive at the design we desired. We told Sonny that we had a limited budget but wanted to get as much of the kitchen done as possible. He suggested that we keep our old cabinets and redo everything else. Sonny has a great eye for design and suggested that we take out some cabinets to open up the room. He helped us with color choices that made the kitchen modern and bright. They replaced the oven, the hood, the induction cooktop, the counter, the floor, the sink, repaired and replaced doors, painted the room and put in a new lighting system with ten canned lights. Michael Nash kept to a timetable except for the hood at the end, which was really unavoidable. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and recommend Michael Nash to our neighbors and friends.”

“Rendon did our kitchen remodel. It took about two weeks, starting 10/29 and finishing 11/15. It wasn't a full remodel, just a 'facelift'. They painted the countertops, replaced with new hardware, added a new granite countertops, added a new sink/faucet, added moulding to the top of the cabinets, and installed a new tile backsplash. At no time did they make us feel like we were a "small" job. With Rendon, you will get service and quality. They took their jobs, each one of them, very seriously, but they weren't stoic. I was able to speak with them easily and they understood what we needed at every turn, by the end even anticipating what I may want/need before I could voice it. Honestly, I couldn't imagine having a better experience with a contractor. Everything works like it should, and looks fantastic. They've even contacted me since to verify that I am still happy with everything they did. They always cleaned when they left, leaving the kitchen in decently useable condition, as we were of course living there during the work. All of the onsite workers were very courteous at all times and accommodating to our needs. I never felt like they were "in the way". And if I needed something, they were always sure to supply it. They always locked up if I wasn't home, and if I was they would verify that I was there before they left. At every step, there was paperwork. Changes were written up and all charges were clearly stated from the beginning and throughout the process. At no point did I get "sticker shock". Michael was phenomenal at his estimation, so it was so close to the end cost it was almost right on, if I hadn't upgraded some finishes. Karen made sure I stayed on budget and got gorgeous finishes that suited our taste. Joey managed the work without any issues and was there each step of the way explaining the process and assigning the proper tasks. Bottom line, if you choose Rendon, you will NOT be disappointed.”

“Spectrum has done a full bathroom and basement renovation for us, in addition to several smaller projects including replacing all the exterior doors to the house and refinishing our front porch. The quality of the work is excellent. Communicating for the purpose of planning and providing feedback is easy due to their rapid response and liberal use of email and cell contact. They responded well to feedback regarding the work site when we had complaints about dust and so forth. The quality of their work holds up; our bathroom completed in 2008 continues to be in terrific condition. They were described by the person who referred them, an architect, very accurately. “We have used Winn Design on two different occasions. The first, in 2007, was a project to replace the exterior doors, windows, and siding of our 1969 ranch house. As part of the project, we added a natural wood portico to the front entrance. More than 5 years later we still have people stop to take pictures and ask us who has done the construction. In 2010 we contracted again with Winn to extend and completely remodel our kitchen. As this was our first experience with a project of this size, the design process was very daunting. However, Winn patiently worked with us over a few months through many revisions until we had a design that fit our needs and budget. During construction we went on vacation and the project manager sent us pictures and summaries on almost a daily basis so that we could keep up with the progress of the project.
