“Steve Tatios from tatcor.com is first of all a gentleman who spent hours discussing my project before I even hired him. His ideas and dedication to detail was what I was looking for. In addition, I needed someone to design, draw and then take the project to completion. The work was outstanding in quality and detail. Anything we wanted to change or tweak, he was more than willing to do. The final project gets the "oohs and aahs" from friends one would hope for and our new basement is now the most fun and inviting part of the house. Multiple parts of the project were somewhat "out of the box" and Steve took to researching and handling the project. I highly recommend Tatcor.com. It is like a gourmet meal. It takes a few extra days but it is perfect when done.”

“Nick and his Dad are the best. They redid our two baths and kitchen. The upstairs bath was a complete tear down. The kitchen/family room was transformed from a 1960's kitchen to granite, stainless, windows, doors, walls, pantries, utility room, etc. They were professional, insightful, knowledgeable and finished our job in a timely fashion. We were living in another state and travelling back and forth and never had a delay or worry. We were in our house by May. He recommended other professionals for painting, insulation, etc. and they also were great to work with. His tile guys were the best. Can only say nice things about this contractor and would highly recommend them for any small or large job.”

“Pete and his team did a complete refinishing of our basement. It was done in two stages: the first included designing the empty space to make it most functional for us. We needed apartment type living as our daughter and two granddaughters are living with us. We wanted as much light as possible which he accomplished with the installation of extra windows and great lighting. In addition to a living area, we needed a desk area, a bedroom and bath and plenty of usable storage. He covered existing support posts and added closets. The second stage was begun after three years when we decided a kitchen was also needed so Pete again used his design expertise by converting the desk area into a wonderful kitchen which includes plenty of cabinet and counter top space, a refrigerator, sink, dishwasher and stove along with the addition of a beautiful, functional breakfast bar.
Pete and his carpenters, plumbers and others were always respectful, on time and kept us abreast of what was happening on a daily basis. There were no unexpected delays. We could not have asked for a better outcome.”

“We hired Amiano & Son’s for our kitchen remodel and couldn’t have been happier. We met with other contractors during our planning stage and Amiano stood out from the rest from the very start. We knew from our first meeting with Joe, that we were going to go with him. We gave them ideas of what we were thinking along with our budget. They came back with a better plan and layout than what we had imagined.
What we really loved about working with Amiano is that we told them our budget and they made every effort to show us options that would work for us. They didn’t present more expensive/elaborate options to entice us to spend more. They were just as focused as we were to stay on budget which removed any undue stress or disappointments. Amiano’s constant communication, craftsmanship and attention to detail was more than what we could have hoped.

“We hired Dan to renovate a 2B/2B co-op apartment in NYC. The building is mid-century, and had not been done in over 30 years. The project was not especially complex, but there were rules imposed by management of the building that made it tricky. All materials had to come through a service elevator and we had a finite number of days to complete the project; we actually could have only 6 'noise days.' If we ran over the schedule, we would have been fined. Dan made the deadline and got big kudos from the building. And the work was beautiful. Dan and his designer planned a full kitchen and bar, removed a wall and installed French doors, re-did closets and storage....it was all we expected and more! Our building has a complex HVAC system and all heating ducts had to be covered and the common hallway prepped every night. Dan was spotless. He and his workers were friendly, helpful, and timely. We definitely would use him again and will recommend him.”

It involved the removal of walls to open out the ground floor, moving the back wall of the house further back to add square footage to the ground floor, the design and installation of a new kitchen and renovations to what had been the dining room. The project included significant electrical and plumbing work, design work by an architect and coordination with the City to obtain permits and get the work approved.”
