McMahon Design Group The gentleman of the house requested a more formal window treatment and custom built 9’ media center. The furniture in this space including two swivel rockers and sectional were purchased as 200 Lex. A carpet was chosen to ground the space. The custom art above the fireplace mantel is handmade with custom cut glass mosaic of the couple dancing and a handmade silk patchwork quilt was commissioned to bring a personal touch and a love of the past to this space.

Lauren Maroney for Ethan Allen Sterling, VAThis client's family of 7 needed a new Family Room design with plenty of seating where they can gather and spend time together, but also where adults can feel welcome as well as children. I achieved this sophisticated feel by keeping the design symmetrical, open, and balanced, and selecting a fresh monochromatic palette in warm grays and rich eggplants. Mercury glass accessories reflect light and sparkle adding a touch of elegance.

L/L Design - Build - FurnishSince the Family Room is to the right of the kitchen, we gave a light makeover to this space as well. Extending the Marble into this room was a natural choice, as well as a new coat of paint. The client had attractive shutters, but we wanted to soften the room, so we added these beautiful patterned sheers, with bronze grommets and hardware. Also, a new patterned shag area rug with bright colors gives the look a new feel.
