Judy's Gardens & DesignFall in a Palo Alto Garden re-design. I designed a Willow Arch for this garden re-design project to go with the Willow furniture purchased for the new Secret Garden. The old lawn will be replaced with a low-water, no mow variety.
The Ardent Gardener Landscape DesignPowder coated, heavy gauge aluminum makes for striking beds in this small, formal herb garden. Compact size makes it just right for growing only what is needed. It is a focal point in the garden, and a much loved, lived in space for the homeowners'.
Sycamore DesignWhen the homeowners contacted Nancy Shanahan
of Sycamore Design, they wanted to enlist her expertise for one goal: to provide screening from the neighboring school and its construction projects. Little did they know, this small assignment would open the door to an
ongoing series of projects culminating in a garden that celebrates the seasons while supporting their family activities.
Both a tranquil respite and a platform for entertaining guests, these outdoor spaces are an extension of the homeowners' vibrant personalities, reaching playful functionality with the use of texture, movement, color, and even edibles. Their garden thrives today and continues to evolve with the recent addition of a cutting garden, a
sunken spa to replace their trampoline, and a fire pit to activate the area beneath their majestic oak tree.
California Eco Design, Inc.This is a Roberto Burle Marx- inspired design, a drought tolerant landscape that imitates the vibrant colors and patterns of the tropics. We kept the monstera and bird of paradise plants, and with the colorful trim on the house, it all works together in this eclectic mashup.
MG GardensRather than covering up the cream brick of this 1950's house, the client wanted to celebrate it with a garden of strong forms, and bright contrasting colours. Drought tolerant and low maintenance. Here we have Aloe 'Topaz' again, the hero of the winter garden.
