Ispiri Design-BuildExisting mature pine trees canopy this outdoor living space. The homeowners had envisioned a space to relax with their large family and entertain by cooking and dining, cocktails or just a quiet time alone around the firepit. The large outdoor kitchen island and bar has more than ample storage space, cooking and prep areas, and dimmable pendant task lighting. The island, the dining area and the casual firepit lounge are all within conversation areas of each other. The overhead pergola creates just enough of a canopy to define the main focal point; the natural stone and Dekton finished outdoor island.
Staghorn NYCTotal renovation for a small backyard garden in the Carroll Gardens neighborhood of Brooklyn. The scope included a bluestone patio, horizontal cedar fence with built in planters and bench with storage. Overhead cafe string lights and a pendant fixture allow this family to enjoy their garden after dark. Low maintenance flowering perennials and grasses as well as herbs and vegetables fill the planted areas.
Southview DesignMs. Homeowner had already purchased furniture in a style she liked and the designer took that as inspiration for the patio and border garden.
Guided by the principles of symmetry, repetition, balance, and clean lines – the final design was a perfect fit for the homeowners' sense of style.

System PaversThese homeowners wanted to maintain their home's existing tropical mediterranean vibes, so we enhanced their space with accenting multi-tone pavers. These paving stones are rich in color and texture, adding to the existing beauty of their home. Artificial turf was added in for drought tolerance and low maintenance. Landscape lighting flows throughout the front and the backyard. Lastly, they requested a water feature to be included on their private backyard patio for added relaxation and ambiance.

Description Of Work:
We had two separate projects done. A retaining wall and new staircase which was done this past fall, and an outdoor living space including a patio, outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, and a fire pit area that was completed this spring.

"We could not be any happier! My husband is an owner of an Italian restaurant and has always dreamed of having his own backyard kitchen and pizza oven. We weren't sure how everything was going to work in our backyard given that our land is very hilly and sloped. Rhett's design far exceeded our expectations! Because of our sloped yard, we needed to make a few changes to the project once they began working. It ended up adding some additional cost to the original quote, but with the new design we were able to combine a future project of a fire pit area into this one. Rhett also corrected drainage issues we were having with the land. Rhett was onsite overseeing most of the process and was in constant communication with us throughout the project. We were hoping to have the entire project done in time to host our son's birthday party and Rhett assured us the work would be complete, and it was. Our backyard is truly a work of art! Before it was a dark, uninviting space and now it is a beautifully lit and landscaped outdoor entertaining area which we will enjoy for years to come. We are planning on adding a hot tub area, a smaller side patio, and an inground pool in the next few years. We are definitely hiring these guys again to do the work and look forward to completing the backyard we've always wanted! "

The project included a two storey glass extension and balcony to the rear, a feature glass stair to the new kitchen/dining room and an en-suite dressing and bathroom. The project was constructed over three phases and we worked closely with the client to create their ideal solution.
Pu'uwai Design & ConstructionThe Pai Pai is the automatic hangout spot for the whole family. Designed in a fun tropical style with a reed thatch ceiling, dark stained rafters, and Ohia log columns. The live edge bar faces the TV for watching the game while barbecuing and the orange built-in sofa makes relaxing a synch. The pool features a swim-up bar and a hammock swings in the shade beneath the coconut trees.
