With an affinity for geodes and rock formations, as well as keeping glass and organic elements in mind, inspiration is evident in every room. The couple’s Colorado background encouraged we incorporate refined western nods throughout the residence, while sophisticated features of transitional and traditional designs. Each room was designed with consideration of the clients’ love of color except the master bedroom and bath suite, which was done in soothing neutrals.

UserThe hallway of this modern home’s master suite is wrapped in honey stained alder. A sliding barn door separates the hallway from the master bath while oak flooring leads the way to the master bedroom. Quarter turned alder panels line one wall and provide functional yet hidden storage. Providing pleasing contrast with the warm woods, is a single wall painted soft ivory.
Purple Cherry ArchitectsIn this hallway, millwork transforms the space from plain and simple to stunning and sophisticated. These details provide intricacy and human scale to large wall and ceiling surfaces. The more detailed the millwork, the more the house becomes a home.
Cresmark Custom HomesThis 2nd floor hallway was used as a reading area with natural light from the skylight. The wall paneling combined with the coffered ceilings create an elegant and calming atmosphere.

Edgewater Design GroupThe client came to us to assist with transforming their small family cabin into a year-round residence that would continue the family legacy. The home was originally built by our client’s grandfather so keeping much of the existing interior woodwork and stone masonry fireplace was a must. They did not want to lose the rustic look and the warmth of the pine paneling. The view of Lake Michigan was also to be maintained. It was important to keep the home nestled within its surroundings.
There was a need to update the kitchen, add a laundry & mud room, install insulation, add a heating & cooling system, provide additional bedrooms and more bathrooms. The addition to the home needed to look intentional and provide plenty of room for the entire family to be together. Low maintenance exterior finish materials were used for the siding and trims as well as natural field stones at the base to match the original cabin’s charm.
B Designs Interior'sWe had so much fun decorating this space. No detail was too small for Nicole and she understood it would not be completed with every detail for a couple of years, but also that taking her time to fill her home with items of quality that reflected her taste and her families needs were the most important issues. As you can see, her family has settled in.
