Copper Sky Design + RemodelThe primary goal of this basement project was to give these homeowners more space: both for their own everyday use and for guests. By excavating an unusable crawl space, we were able to build out a full basement with 9’ high ceilings, a guest bedroom, a full bathroom, a gym, a large storage room, and a spacious entertainment room that includes a kitchenette. In all, the homeowners gained over 1,100 of finished space.
The Finishers Toronto Renovations LtdThis basement kitchen is given new life as a modern bar with quartz countertop, navy blue cabinet doors, satin brass edge pulls, a beverage fridge, pull out faucet with matte black finish. The backsplash is patterned 8x8 tiles with a walnut wood shelf. The space was painted matte white, the ceiling popcorn was scraped off, painted and installed with recessed lighting. Landis Architects | BuildersThe clients like to entertain, so the recreation room has a generous bar with kegerator, icemaker, microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, and refrigerator. A fun red countertop accents the gray cabinetry. The clients opted to keep the concrete floor, but added some glitter to the gray paint. The exposed ceiling contributes to the industrial look.

SGDI - Sarah Gallop Design Inc.Downstairs the entertainment continues with a wine room, full bar, theatre, and golf simulator. Sound-proofing and Control-4 automation ease comfort and operation, so the media room can be optimized to allow multi-generation entertaining or optimal sports/event venue enjoyment. A bathroom off the social space ensures rambunctious entertainment is contained to the basement… and to top it all off, the room opens onto a landscaped putting green.

Interior Trends Inc. Design & RemodelingThis space used to be the existing kitchen. We were able to rearrange the cabinets and add in some new cabinets to create this bar. The front of the curved bar is copper with a patina technique. Two colors of concrete countertops were used for the bar area to pick up on the color of the stacked stone veneer we used as the backsplash. The floating shelves have LED lighting underneath. Illuminated open cabinets await new collections! We also installed a climate controlled wine cellar.
