For additional shading an optional recessed blind can be built discreetly into the structure of the pod. This garden Pod room is fully insulated with high performance natural insulation products that reduce heat loss, the Glide Pod is extremely energy efficient. In addition, this unique pod can integrate renewables (green energy) to provide further cost savings on heating and cooling. Beyond thermal insulation these pods offer impressive levels of acoustic insulation making them ideal for quiet study rooms, productive workspaces or an inspiring garden music studio. The external decked area has soft down lighting provided by modern feature spotlights and sufficient space within the pod to incorporate shower room facilities and a mini kitchen, all of which Pod Space can include in the construction. For additional space the dimensions can be increased so you can make the most of the available area in your garden or commercial grounds.

With the intention of creating a ‘dark jewel’ to give space for work, children’s play and practising yoga. Neil Dusheiko used clear burnt cedar – Dento Yakisugi in a ‘hit one miss one’ system creating natural yet mysterious vibes in the garden area. Using traditional Japanese techniques Shou Sugi Ban makes the cladding resistant to rot and fire. The finish on the cladding can only be controlled so much; this allows the texture, colour and grain to show their true character. The carbon finish can’t be affected by sunlight as it is a colourless element. Inside the studio they have used a light in colour birch plywood. This gives a brilliant contrast to the exterior. A bespoke Home office for clients in Surbiton Surrey. The room was finished with premium Canadian Redwood Cedar, with Bifold doors with integrated storage and a hidden door within the cladding. The room also featured duel air-conditioning /heating and was further complimented with Millboard Antique Oak Decking.

Sitting at 2.5m x 3.6m, this cedar clad home office provides a contemporary space for working at home. Insulated for year round use, the studio has enough space for two desks and plenty of storage.
