Studio Ember InteriorsColour blocking is a fantastic way to zone areas without taking up valuable floor space and we went for it in this gorgeous nursery.
The brief was for a contemporary, colourful nursery with Scandi vibes. As we all know Scandinavian design doesn’t always allow for bold colours so we focused on strong clean shapes and Scandinavian design references in the furniture.
The client didn’t want the room to be heavily gendered like so many nurseries so opting for a gorgeous deep teal and a stone coloured beige gives the perfect backdrop for layers of other colours to be added as the children grow.
The client originally wanted white to be the predominant colour in this room but to add the cosy feel we convinced them to go for a zoned corner. The beige stone colour paint continues up onto the ceiling to create a little colour pocket at one end of the room. This is a nice upgrade on a ‘feature wall’.
We love being sent pictures of the children enjoying the space from the client.

Lauren Levant InteriorThe smallest room in this home was originally planned as an office – and then, good news arrived. Inspired by a favorite childhood storybook, this sweet nursery was designed for the new arrival in a soft and neutral palette and detailed with a subtle feather motif.
The crib is constructed in natural, eco-friendly materials and is versatile enough to transition from crib to a child bed to an full-sized bed, as years go by – making this nursery room a relevant design to enjoy for many years to come.

Vicki JenkinsThis was a low budget and handmade girls nursery for a 6th precious child. I kept costs to a minimum and reused what the client already had in the home. This client didn't use the nursery for feeding or rocking so we didn't need a place to sit but I did add the bean bag for the children to sit on when mom is in there changing the baby etc. Handmade items where, the coral chevron bed skirt, added longer bumper ties, mobile ( not showing), jar pendant, handmade hessian bean bag, book box on casters.

Suya WangI would like a cheerful room for my baby and chose bright mustard yellow as the main colour. In the meantime, as I learned baby only can tell black & white colour for a while, I chose black wallpaper for the rest two walls. I am worried it's too bold, but after putting them all on, I am pretty happy with the result. And of course, yellow and black normally go well together.
The cot and Change table is Babyletto Lolly brand. Package price $1500;
The single bed is passed down from a friend. I bought the draw knobs from Etsy;
Animal Heads Deco bought on RoyalDesign. $80 each;
Clock, paintings and other small deco all bought from Taobao.
As an amateur, I am pretty happy with the end result, and I believe the same with my baby. Hope you like it too :)

When my clients came to see me and announced their wonderful news that they were pregnant, but did not want to know the sex of the baby, I immediately decided to have the room in greys and yellows, we could always add accessories once the baby was born. This gorgeous, serene nursery for this very much Loved new baby would need to have all the necessary amenities and easily be converted into a regular bedroom. My Client had an image of elephants as the father grew up with bedtime stories of Babar.
The challenged was the size of the room only 94 sq. feet. And it would have to be transformed into a regular bedroom once the child was older. I was able to find high quality , beautiful classic furniture that also serves as double duty.
Once the child would be old enough the crib can transform into a queen bed, and the removable part of the changing table becomes a 6 drawer dresser. The paintable wall paper color can be changed as well as all accessories.
I believe in good quality furniture that can be passed down or converted. Yes it is more expensive but in the long run, classic pieces such as these can last a life time.
Created by the concept of elephant accessories and soft pastel colors. Soft texture wallpaper and loads of storage used in an elegant way, This nursery will stand the test of time from 1 month to 18 years .
One month before the birth of the child my clients found out they were getting a baby boy. He was born October 03, measuring 45cm and weighing 6.5 pounds. Congratulations guys and welcome to our world little Matteo
