Studio InSitu ArchitectsThe best features of this loft were formerly obscured by its worst. While the apartment has a rich history—it’s located in a former bike factory, it lacked a cohesive floor plan that allowed any substantive living space.
A retired teacher rented out the loft for 10 years before an unexpected fire in a lower apartment necessitated a full building overhaul. He jumped at the chance to renovate the apartment and asked InSitu to design a remodel to improve how it functioned and elevate the interior. We created a plan that reorganizes the kitchen and dining spaces, integrates abundant storage, and weaves in an understated material palette that better highlights the space’s cool industrial character.

In the living room, artisanal craftsmanship shines through. A custom-designed fireplace featuring a limestone plaster finish and softly rounded corners is a sculptural masterpiece. Complemented by bespoke furniture, such as the dual-facing tete-a-tete and curved sofa, every piece is both functional and artistic, elevating the room's inviting ambience.

Karyn Dismore InteriorsOpen plan living room with multiple entry points - easily accessible to the outdoor patio, kitchen, entry and dining. Soft ivory and neutral tones bring this space a soothing and comfortable place to relax. Custom linear fireplace with limestone surround says "come sit a while"
Cabinets ExtraordinaireOriginal KAWS sculptures are placed in the corner of this expansive great room / living room of this Sarasota Vue penthouse build-out overlooking Sarasota Bay. The great room's pink sofa is much like a bright garden flower, and the custom-dyed feathers on the dining room chandelier add to the outdoor motif of the Italian garden design.
Cathie Hong InteriorsThis Australian-inspired new construction was a successful collaboration between homeowner, architect, designer and builder. The home features a Henrybuilt kitchen, butler's pantry, private home office, guest suite, master suite, entry foyer with concealed entrances to the powder bathroom and coat closet, hidden play loft, and full front and back landscaping with swimming pool and pool house/ADU.
Simply Home DecoratingThe new owners of this 1974 Post and Beam home originally contacted us for help furnishing their main floor living spaces. But it wasn’t long before these delightfully open minded clients agreed to a much larger project, including a full kitchen renovation. They were looking to personalize their “forever home,” a place where they looked forward to spending time together entertaining friends and family.
In a bold move, we proposed teal cabinetry that tied in beautifully with their ocean and mountain views and suggested covering the original cedar plank ceilings with white shiplap to allow for improved lighting in the ceilings. We also added a full height panelled wall creating a proper front entrance and closing off part of the kitchen while still keeping the space open for entertaining. Finally, we curated a selection of custom designed wood and upholstered furniture for their open concept living spaces and moody home theatre room beyond.
This project is a Top 5 Finalist for Western Living Magazine's 2021 Home of the Year.
Selle Valley Construction, Inc.This living room is complete with a 50" wood burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings and plenty of views of the surrounding landscape.
Fireplace is dry stacked in cultured stone from Mutual Materials, in "Loon Lake", shaker style paint grade media cabinets on either side are painted in Sherwin Williams "Downy" and finished with flat black Amerock finger pulls.
The floating heath is 3" thick thermal finished basalt and the mantle custom made metal with hooks for fire tools.
Flooring is 7" hickory wood plank in a natural finish. Walls are painted in Sherwin Williams "Downy" and the cathedral ceiling is painted in Sherwin Williams "Soapstone". Beams are rough sawn Douglas fir finished in a stain called "Old Dragon's Breath.
Ceiling fan is a 60" from Minka in nickle and maple.
Trakya 3DThis house was built in Europe for a client passionate about concrete and wood.
The house has an area of 165sqm a warm family environment worked in modern style.
