Whyte GardensThe brief for this project included three separate areas wrapping around the house. Each area embraces a different function that is reflected in the designs. The main space included an existing pool that was revitalized and matched with new-seated areas and focal points. Although different materials are used, each feature compliments each other and highlights the planting. One of the exciting elements of this project is an evolving feature wall using star jasmine plants and vertical steel wires.
The second space is a small-decked entertaining area, flowing seamlessly from the interior. The main focus is the three corten steel panels with bamboo planting placed behind. The timber decking and the planting creates a relationship with main pool area whilst still having its own identity.

This client knew well that I'd build a wooden boat for my family years prior, and was always up for a design/build challenge. He passed the vision to me, we watered it, I designed plotted and planned. Great ideas might always come from spirited collaboration. Betz Pools LimitedThe elevated deck with stairs handles two issues, the drop in elevation from the kitchen to the pool level, and the pressing need for backyard storage space. Special waterproof membranes and drains were added to ensure the storage area below the deck would remain dry and protected from weather.

Le bardage et la terrasse bois viennent apporter de la chaleur et délimiter visuellement l'espace piscine.
Les plantes grimpantes habillent la clôture et apportent verdure, douceur et fraîcheur.
