Campion Platt InteriorsTransforming this charming example of a 1926 Palm Beach house by architect Gustav Maas was a study in restraint and embellishment. We traversed the process of having the house land marked and won the 2008 Polly Earl Preservation Award for our efforts. While maintaining the historic exterior, we played with the interior layout. We embellished the gracious entry and opened up what was once a series of formal rooms. The new plan helped set the tone for a more relaxed and casual lifestyle. The interiors are filled with vibrant tropical hues and clean modern furniture forms. Each room flows seamlessly into the next and gives the overall feeling of a playful and joyous place to retire and escape.

Schatz Landscape DesignThe stream flows to its pondless end. The underground pool is covered by a surface rock layer that has a siphon to recirculate the water to the waterfall on the other side of the bridge. The two dry creeks, one abutting each end of the recirculating stream, are totally functional. The swaled and messy yard was transformed into a beautiful creek system that empties soundly to the back yard.
Pu'uwai Design & ConstructionThe Pai Pai is the automatic hangout spot for the whole family. Designed in a fun tropical style with a reed thatch ceiling, dark stained rafters, and Ohia log columns. The live edge bar faces the TV for watching the game while barbecuing and the orange built-in sofa makes relaxing a sinch. The pool features a swim-up bar and a hammock swings in the shade beneath the coconut trees.
