This lovely rectilinear swimming pool measures 20’0” x 46’0”, and has a separate, raised hot tub measuring 9’0” x 9’0”. On top of the hot tub is a raised wall water feature with three sheer descent waterfalls. The shallow end features a 20’0” sun shelf with two sets of attached steps. On the opposite end of the pool, there is a 20’0” infinity edge system overlooking Lake Michigan. Both the pool and hot tub feature Bluestone coping. Both the pool and hot tub interior finishes are Ceramaquartz. The pool features an automatic hydraulic pool cover system with a custom stone walk-on lid system. Betz Pools LimitedWith the custom Gunite pool limited to 12’ x 24’, Betz recommended a visual negative edge. Infinity pools are often designed so the surface appears to merge with the background in the distance. This time it was to make the pool seem larger, especially when you are in it, by creating a spacious open feeling along one side.
Homes by DesignThe rear of this home features dining and entertaining spaces, outdoor kitchen, huge pool with fountains and infinity edge, waterslide, swim -up bar and hot tub. There is also plenty of room for sunbathing and relaxation around the pool. The waterslide seems to disappear into the area as it winds through the rocks and landscaping.
C&H LandscapingAll new xeric, low water plantings and planting beds. Walls were faced with stucco and brick to match the home, and capped with dimensionally cut flagstone. Multi-color river rock and granite boulders bring us back to the mountains and provide more texture in these beds.
Van Kirk & Sons Pools and SpasThis project really utilizes backyard space because of its creativeness and ingenuity in design and construction. Some of the pool tucks into the back of the house flawlessly so that the pool doesn’t extend too far out. With bubblers, stepping stones leading to the outdoor kitchen, and parallel deck level fire feature, it’s the perfect introduction to it’s vanishing edge feel. Custom tile and lighting accentuates the pool and backyard perfectly while the house is custom lit as well.
Silva LandscapesA large contemporary with a simple lay out and strong straight lines. It has two levels one the Japanese garden and top the main one facing the house.. A beautiful Iroko screen dive the two and a path creates a strong axis to be seen from the drawing room. The cherry tree border is the main feature of the garden which can be borrowed for the Japanese garden. Another simple focal point is the iroko bench which has the same circular pattern that echoes the screen
A long brick retaining wall was designed on the right side which decreases its height as it gets towards it end. There a kitchen garden was built next to the green house. Next to house there a cobble circular patio where the client likes to add their annuals and herbs for cooking.
Big Rock LandscapingLayering the grasses and shrubs with river rock creates texture and divides up the space visually.
Platinum Landscape & PoolsCluster of pastel perennials and annuals flank a lush lawn and transition into a dry stack rock wall which extends across the front of the lawn. Large columnar trees add dimension and scale to the front of the house.
Elemental Design GroupMeandering lawn edged by Lavenders, Verbena and Sollya provide a colorful deer resistant garden that elegantly frames a large expansive lawn.
