A collection of seasonal garlands, interspersed with lights, hang from the outdoor hearth. Rieves created the garland of felt owls by using mini clothes pins. "As you can imagine, I have an enormous collection of garlands," says Rieves. "I have two attics in my house, which are filled with plastic bins full of holiday decor."

Each table setting is slightly different. She says, "I mix and match the colors that appeal to my eye. I often just pull things out and make choices through trial and error. It takes a few tries at times to get it just right."
