The custom window surround in this Stamford, CT kitchen, designed by Sharon McCormick. Glass front display cabinets flank the comfortable window seat. The cabinets were designed with seeded glass for textural interest. Everyone likes to gather in the kitchen at a party, so the window seat adds seating outside of the chef’s space. Drawers provide additional storage. An upholstered cornice with button details provides a nice detail and subtle pattern. Plantation shutters provide both light and privacy.
