Bathrooms are always a favourite for Studio L and it was important to encapsulate the Victorian spirit but give it that modern-preppy twist. The Victorians introduced ceramics and porcelain and often tiled in white, or rich colours and added tiles with ornate detailing. Instead, tiles in softer hues were combined with basic black and white and applied in a stripe. Rolltop baths and luxurious marble were also used for maximum impact.
