Ornamental Delight
The clients requested a wide swim-out/beach area to be constructed on the far side of the pool, however, the swim-out was to be framed by 2 x ornamental columns, with a third column to be constructed in the very middle of the swim-out. To ensure that this swim-out could provide the necessary support, additional steel reinforcing was used and 3 x brick piers were constructed beneath the proposed column locations. This ensured that the pool shell wouldn’t crack under the additional weight created by these columns.
