It looks like the company that posted this pic is a windows and doors guy so he probably doesn't know the wood color. My best guess is a med-dark walnut and it looks like actual real wood but is hard to say from a picture. There are so many imitations out there that are really good! It's amazing how far laminate has come! And wood-tile is a great alternative, but I'm pretty sure you can rule that out (at least from this picture) because you can see a clear "true" seam where the light hits the floor. If you really want an exact match to this, I think your best option is to take this picture to your floor guy or to the place that you want to buy flooring (if you're a do-it-yourselfer!) and try to match it up as close as you can. It's not an exact science but it'll get you the look you want! There are so many shades, wood species and grain styles out there that I don't doubt that you will find something that will make you very happy.
Of course you can always get an interior designer to do all of that footwork for you :)
You're right, Brown Bird Designs - unfortunately we don't know the flooring details for this project. However, the project was led by Bonadies Architect, who is also here on Houzz. They could certainly provide those details for you, akantor1!
