What color for the doors?

This is the last phase of the hallway and we can't decide on the door color. The door handles will be simple silver levers. The walls and trim are white, ceiling is black and comes down about 6" onto walls and floor is cherry. We have 4 bedroom doors, a bathroom door and two built ins.

The wood isn't in good enough shape to stain, and we are thinking black, white, or grey. Help!!

I personally prefer when the door color matches the trim. That's a lot of white, but with your aesthetic I think it will work. What shade of grey were you thinking?

I think a Black or very dark grey (Charcoal) would look amazing. It would help anchor the dark ceiling and tie everything together. White would be a safe bet, but I always like to do things bold.

White or black if you ask me! White if you want a more fresh and bright looking apartment, black if you want to keep it more in the color scheme you already have :-) Also, i love the carpet under the small table with the sofas... Where is it from?

Are you looking for comprehensive, "soup to nuts" guidance, or do you consider yourself design-savvy and only in need of assistance with color, space planning and resources? Are you a visual person or a tactile person? Will you be satisfied with a designer showing you photos of products, or do you prefer to see and feel everything before deciding whether it is right for you? Do you prefer to be shown many options or fewer? Are you open to the input of others? Are you able to make choices with confidence, or do you tend to vacillate? What are your expectations in terms of a timeline Determine the Scope of Your Project The scope of a project to some extent dictates the qualifications and experience required of the interior designer you are hiring. If you are building a new home or addition, or undertaking a major renovation to existing space, you are likely already working with an architect. This is good. Architects and designers often work in concert, balancing the aesthetics of the home's structure, or "bones," with the interior furnishings and finishes. You may want to get your architect involved in the selection of the interior designer—whether it's recommending someone he or she has already worked with, or using one of the interior designers the firm may have on staff. If you're redecorating a single room or have a limited budget for a space that does not require structural change, you may not need an interior designer at all. You may be happy hiring a specialist, such as a color consultant, who can work with your existing furnishings and help you revamp the space with new paint color and fabric selections.

Super nice place with lots of options! Since it’s meant to be a sofa for watching movies in, the only right option (in my opinion) would be something that allows for laying down (or at least allow you to put your feet up). I would look for extra deep couches, something with a chaiselong or matching foodrest. I don’t have any specific sofa’s in mind, but a search on google on “flydersofa” or “dyb sofa” might help you out :) I also think some color would suit the space well :) - maybe a colored sofa, or at least some colored pillows in a more “neutral” sofa. The space already have a lot of beautiful neutrals, so a colored sofa would really stand out (in a good way) - but that is something that very much comes down to personal preference :)

Nice room! Iwould keep the red bricks, but tone down all other textures. That means replacing the wood ceiling with a clean, white seamless non-textured ceiling. +Replacing the floor tiles with either wood, concrete or epoxy (which would look amazing in this space) I would stain the loft beams a darker, richer wood color, and consider painting the window trims black - I think it would give more of a “New Yorker” loft vibe. If you absolutely hate the red bricks, you could paint them over (but keeping the texture underneath). Or plaster some of the walls and keep one or 2 as an accent wall. In any case - amazing space. Hope you do something awesome with it :)

Thanks for the comments! I am open to any shade of grey, but through the rest of the house we've used a lighter grey to balance the black and white.

I like bold too, but what I love about the black ceiling now is that it fools your eye and disappears making the hallway feel a lot larger than it is. I don't want to loose that so originally we were thinking painting them black but I'm second guessing it now

As long as you don't go with a grey that's super light, I think it will be fine. You don't want it to look like the doors just don't match the walls. Maybe you could just prime the doors and think about it more after they're primed? It will give you a better idea of how they would look white.
