Hi- Funny you should ask because it was hard to determine this wood in person. At first glance this wood seems to be a natural mable, but this wood is actually a clean Alder with a natural finish and very light hand glazing done in white. I do caution as alder can vary greatly. Many times you will see it stained a darker finish as the wood has a lot of variation. Also be very aware between the differences of a "Clean Alder" and a "Knotty Alder". Knotty Alder is known for its worm holes, and very large knot holes that can go straight through the doors. It is a great feature/character if that is the look that you are going for, not so much if you wanted it perfect looking. Thanks for the question!
