Interior Ideas
Nice kitchen. A little too much white, but the overall space is great. Good tall ceiling without feeling like a cathedral. That same square footage with a lower ceiling and less windows would feel too enclosed.
The step down effect makes this space cozy and inviting. The windows/light make it not heavy or subterranean.
Lots of lighting. Wood on ceiling is nice too. The two counter types make it look natural and normal, less uniform and cookie cutter
Great feel of this kitchen. Nice banquette/booth seating off kitchen.
The lights are a little much, as is the swing! But those built-in book cases are amazing!
Hidden nooks to discover.
Nice front entry/porch. Lots of windows
Nice detached garage with breezeway. Possible to start with just a drive thru carport then upgrade some day to this. Mary: yep love that idea!
Have seen a few kitchens with this open wall window idea. Very nice and attractive, but how do they keep the bugs out?!? Mary: in this case I think it’s gigantic bifold windows. But when they’re open-I guess they just don’t live in GA/SC?
Great transition to outdoor room. Outdoor is a part of the house.
Vaulted ceilings are nice, up to the roof line. Especially with those upper windows. Good windows and light. Open concept is good here, with fireplace breaking up the two spaces.
Incredible farmhouse. Love the porch, though I would probably prefer non-screened. The two building effect with connecting hall is very interesting, would be curious if we could do something similar
Love this kitchen. Lots of windows/light. High ceiling without being cavernous. Kitchen table instead of an island is a neat idea.
Great example of halfway between open concept and walled off rooms.
Have always liked farmhouse style with gravel driveways, rambling perennials overhanging the edges
Really like the idea of a courtyard/outdoor room. Not necessarily like this (where's Odysseus?), but this feel. Associated outdoor fireplace is real nice. Would like to see the courtyard visually transition from the interior common space, similar to what we have now.
A drive-thru carport could fit the bill, especially if we don't want an attached garage. Possible detached garage built later?
Really like the breezeway look connected to a porch like that.
M. Bedroom reading/lounge seat at window. Seat is fully inset in lowered "ceiling" area
Another nice kitchen booth. Good space for both school and kitchen work. Nice to have both bar and booth without looking too much like a restaurant/diner. Booth is more wide than deep, possible option.
Kitchen booth is awesome. Table space without much extra sq footage added for a whole room. Nice windows in the booth area.
More hidden nooks and corners. Like the window in this one. Yes! The window is a game changer
Awesome hidden gem. Fun discovery. Close to main area but tucked away.
