“This team was contracted to do the architectural work on an addition to my home. I sketched out the overall design. Nong listened and offered his suggestions. At the conclusion, his overall design and improvements when far beyond what I had envisioned. He walk through all the paperwork and time needed to get all the permits which allowed me time to take care of the family and talk about the new look. The project is still under construction, but I know my family and I will be happy with what we both (myself and Nong) envisioned.”

“I was introduced to Bess through a previous Designer I worked with who was retiring her business. She felt Bess would be a good fit for me and my job, and I knew from our first meeting she was right. Bess and her Studio 3 team came on the job when we completed the basic house conceptual plan. Her input and ideas only further enhanced the function of the floor plan. As well, her knowledge, expertise and practical approach has been so valuable especially as this is my first major house remodel. I have quickly found how easy it is to keep expanding the plan as well as the budget! She does a great job keeping me on track and realistic, which my husband appreciates! Bess has guided us through our Phase 1 of the crazy permit process for an in law quarters and is now assisting with our phase 2, the rest of the house., all the while setting expectations of how to work with the city. She is also great when working with your personal choice of contractors, although she provides her own top notch referrals. Her team is friendly and responsive. We still have a ways to go, but she is willing to work with you on what services you need in regards to your budget, which I appreciate. I've been in Real Estate for 13 years, and one thing I've learned is when you find great vendors, partner with them, keep using them and refer them! I've referred Studio 3 to two people / clients with different styles and both have been thrilled to work with her. I would highly recommend you give Studio 3 and Bess a call for your next large or smaller project!”

“A wonderful team who designed an elegant, amazing modern remodel and addition of our row house in San Francisco. The project had numerous obstacles including a load bearing wall that was over the property line, a very steep hill side with a ton of earthquake retrofitting required, and a bridge to link two buildings. They are wonderful at asking just the right questions to figure out the best uses of space and how to design for how you really live, are very professional, and extremely organized, articulate, and resourceful. I would highly recommend them to anyone for any sized residential project.”

“Leigha Heydt was our second architect hired for our project. The first didn't work out due to lack of understanding each others goals and budget. Leigha was a breath of fresh air in every way. She took out the intimidation factor in our first remodel experience. We immediately loved her straight forward honest approach and her knowledge of building a home (she has contractor experience). She was quick at assesing our needs and got straight to work on our plans. The plans were extremely professional with meticulous details that made every process after (finding contractors, engineers, etc and getting town approval) a breeze. Leigha understood us and always steered us in a realistic direction to keep to our goal. She has a very keen eye for use of space and pleasing design... that is timeless and functional. I can not say enough about Leigha, she is very talented, a great architect. Our entire house was dated with a small, closed in kitchen and no master bedroom. Our house is absolutely fantastic now with an open big kitchen, amazing master suite and a beautiful flow throughout. We chose a more modern style that is very family friendly. Leigha was right there with every resource - websites, places to find every last detail needed in our home. Again, I can't say enough- she's an amazing architect and communicator, she's thorough, always on time, wealth of resources and the calm in what could be an overwhelming experience. She's the best!”

“My husband and I were in search of the perfect house that had to satisfy both our needs. The only thing we seemed to agree on was that the location had to be in Marin County. After almost 7 long years of renting, we finally found the perfect location on a street we were both in love with but unfortunately the house was far from what either one of us liked as it was way too small for our family of four and the one bathroom was the size of a phone booth! We then searched for an architect that would be able to give us both what we wanted and could see our vision and blend it together. After interviewing several different architects and feeling like they didn’t “get us” we moved on and were fortunate enough to have met Eric who was a referral from our real estate agent. He listened and really understood the look and feel each one of us wanted. When we saw the plans he designed for us, we were beyond delighted! He took our 1400 square foot home and turned it into a 3500 sqft. dream home that has everything we both had always wanted in the most creative and family friendly way. “Collaborating with the Freeform team has been a great experience and we are thrilled with the end result. We contacted the Freeform team after receiving a referral to them from a friend. Carlos and the Freeform team did a great job in gathering as much input from us about how we lived, how we would like our new home to facilitate living that our current home didn’t, and even went into great detail about how we used our kitchen, closets, and more. We received great guidance throughout the process and always felt that we could voice our opinions and desires while also getting good feedback about where we could change or approach things differently that we envisioned so that the resulting home was better. We were offered design options, which we re-iterated on a few times until we landed on a final option that combined the best of everything we were presented with. Similarly, we were presented with permitting strategies and during construction we always felt we received options with enough information so that we could make informed decisions. The only critique we have was that the construction took a bit longer than we anticipated, but the impact of this delay was minimized since we knew well ahead of time where we stood with regard to our schedule/timeline. This allowed us to plan for the extra 2 months of construction. Overall, we’re thoroughly pleased with the interior renovation and our new home.”

“Amparo designed my kitchen and my bathroom. I love both rooms. I tell everyone that I could not have done it without her and it is true! Both rooms are small and so it was a challenge to find materials that fit and did not create cramped spaces. There was no room for mistakes and Amparo did not make any mistakes. Amparo always sees the best solution to any design problem immediately; it is not a process of trial and error with her. She also knows all about the best materials at the best prices, and where to acquire them. She is very easy to work with, listens intently to my preferences and honors them.
