“We've been in our Key West-style home in Sarasota, Fla., for two years and continue to be as happy with it as we were on Day 1. Our builder, Duane Clayton, knows Sarasota -- its codes, its trends, its tradespeople. He has built several types of homes of various sizes in our area. He is a green builder and our utility bills continue to impress. As the house went up, Duane was either on site or accompanying us on one of our many searches for materials. Several neighbors whose homes were constructed by national companies could not believe the teamwork and attention we enjoyed with our independent builder. Duane is smart and confident, yet flexible. And he's an all-around nice guy.”

“Bill Teutsch was the prime contractor for our kitchen remodel. He met with us to discuss the design objectives and then provided cost estimates for the various options. His prices were competitive with several others, however Bill's methods were much better. Bill met with us as a project partner, not as a salesman. The actual work involved several subcontractors and Bill worked with them to deliver and install the components in a timely manner. The quality of work was top notch. As an example of Bill's dedication, some of the work occurred while we were away from Sanibel. Our 10 year old water heater failed and Bill arranged for his plumber to replace the water heater at cost to us. We highly recommend Bill Teutsch for your remodeling project. Sue and Chuck”

“We used Kelly and Sullivan Custom Homes to build our "forever" home in South Gulf Cove. They were absolutely fantastic! Dennis Sullivan was on site every day (I know because my neighbor has commented on it numerous times). Both Kelly and Dennis were a joy to work with. Unlike local builders who are building tens of homes a year, Sullivan is smaller and, therefore, much more accommodating. SCH builds a high quality home, delivered on time without any hassles. I'd recommend them, and have, to anyone looking to build in the Port Charlotte area. In fact, we had such a positive experience, my sister from Cape Cod is going to use them!”

“Byron and Justin did a fantastic job of a total renovation of our beachfront family condo. This is a shared property by 3 families....we are all out-of-state (OH/IL/CT). They were good at communicating with us throughout the project even though we were only on site a few times during the process. They listened carefully to our needs and made great design and product recommendations. This had been our parents condo and had not been updated since the late 1970's. To say it was a time capsule is an understatement. Although it was impossible to increase the size, they did an unbelievable job of making the space feel much larger by removing walls. Gave us ceiling lights and fans, which other contractors had told us was impossible. And, they increased our storage space, allowing each family their own personal storage space in an eye pleasing cabinetry and built-ins. I only wish we had taken before and after shots. In the year since the project was completed, each family has spent a few months living in the space. The transformation is amazing and all three families are more than pleased. Would HIGHLY recommend Phoenix Builders of West Florida to anyone doing a small or large project!”

“We hired Truex Preferred Construction to build a new garage. They were very professional in all our dealings. We changed the plans several times but it was no problem for them. The sub-contractors they used did a great job for us, they were also very professional in our dealings. I would recommend Truex Preferred Construction to anyone looking to do any type of construction, redesign, even building a new home.”
