“I’ll begin by saying that the first thing I did before writing this review was to read the lone one-star review. Notably, it was absent any detail and - as typical with one-star, negative reviews - only contained words that will click with emotions. My experience could not be farther from that. From the moment we began exploring Black Forest Design & Build as an option to complete our Kitchen and Living Room renovation, we were impressed. Responsive. Detailed. Thorough. We were hosted at their office in Lancaster to receive a formal presentation on the options that they had prepared for us. Full conference room spread of considered finishes - knobs, paint colors, tile samples, fabric swatches. They considered and understood that this was a home - our home - not a job. That care continued throughout the design and finalization process. We were presented with options, if those weren’t to our preference we were provided other options (or, even, our own design suggestions accepted). The final design and detail were a collaboration between BFD&B and us. This is all BEFORE they came on-site to our home. The experience only continued to be amazing from there. Our Project Manager was a dream. Asked questions, kept the work space immaculate - not because it was their work space, but because it was our home. As work progressed and we visited the site (which I did daily), we were asked our thoughts on progress, if we had any items we wanted to change - we were always given the option to make adjustments until the very last moment. Don’t want this outlet there anymore? Great, we’ll scrap it. Want a new outlet here - now’s your last chance before we have to have this wrapped. Every human with whom we interacted at BFD&B was professional, caring, and considerate of us and our home. As our renovation progressed, we’d have neighbors asking us “how’s it going? What surprises did they throw at you?” Those questions were asked based upon their past experiences with lesser teams than BFD&B - they had a conclusion in mind based upon their experience. Our experience was a breeze and a dream. Never once did I have a complaint. We’re eager for Black Forest Design & Build to complete more work at our home - perhaps a laundry/mudroom refresh? We’re not sure, but there’s only one choice in our mind - Black Forest Design & Build.”

“There is only one word to describe my final renovation. STUNNING!!! If that is how you want to feel when your project is over, you need to be working with dRemodeling. There is a reason they have so many 5 star reviews. Some thoughts about my experience: * My project was a pretty large one, and included redesigning the layout of the first floor and the basement. Multiple walls came down, were put up, or were opened up. With a 97 year-old rowhome, there were inevitably challenges along the way. When they arose, the issues were explained and I was provided with options for addressing them. * Knowing the foundational items were being done correctly helped to put my mind at ease. You can easily change the decor, but not what is behind the walls. * Their design services are invaluable. I cannot tell you how much it helped to see 3D drawings of the renovation, with the materials I selected. It helped me to tweak my design choices and rethink the layout. Also, the final renovation looked just like the drawing. * I really appreciated the transparent pricing. It allowed me to see the cost of the options I selected, and how it impacted the overall cost. I also knew what work would have to be completed before my next invoice would be sent. * The whole team was simply amazing! The handoff between the trades was smooth, and they partnered well together - from the demolition to the finishing work. I especially have to thank Tudor, who I met during a follow-up site visit (before the project began) and worked with throughout, for his attention to detail; Autumn, for her work on my initial design and material selection; Mike, for his oversight of a very challenging renovation; and Devin, for pivoting and helping to come up with a unique bathroom design when the walls came down and new challenges arose. * I had a TON of questions along the way, and everyone helped to patiently answer them - especially Mike, Autumn and Devin. I could not be happier with how everything turned out!”

“Our Kitchen renovation is complete and on time. Matt Slingerland the Remodeling Consultant helped my mom and I realize our vision for our kitchen. Nick Zizzamia the Project Manager was very helpful and answered any questions we had for the day to day work that was done. We have dealt with a variety of home improvement and renovation specialists and Cipriani is top dog in our book. I would suggest anyone with renovation/building needs to contract with Cipriani because it was a thoroughly delightly experience from beginning to end.”
