Bath Rework 06
This bath remodel was for a very small bathroom on a tight budget. The idea was to create a usable bath that was warm, comfortable, and inviting, especially for the small footprint (5'x8'), The tub/shower surround was replaced. The idea was to wrap the floor, walls, and ceiling with a wood surround for warmth. This "wrap" was of Peruvian Walnut and literally wrapped the room between the tub and the opposite wall, almost cocoon-like. The wall opposite the tub was painted, the only painted surface in the room. A custom vanity w/ under-mount sink were cantilevered from the wall as were shelves above.
