The Design FirmA modern bedroom design scheme never fails to impress. It's sleek and simple look makes for a calming set-up that's ideal for getting a good night's rest. But how do you pull off a polished, modern aesthetic that's far from boring? And can an interior filled with cozy accents, including bedding and pillows, really work with a modern design? We think yes!
Schenck and CompanyPutting together this floor was like working on a jigsaw puzzle with mismatched pieces. Whether the wood was reclaimed from a single project in Europe or from multiple projects is unclear. Either way, it took the skill of experienced craftsmen to assemble the pieces, mill the wood to like thickness, then to finish with a lightly buffed wax.

The Brief
Create a relaxing, inspirational home by the sea for family holidays and entertaining. Extend the property within permitted development guidance and use as much of the existing fabric as possible specifying new or low energy materials and systems wherever possible.
Our Solution
The proverbial bungalow on the South coast, a much-maligned house type, one rarely developed in a contemporary way but one with much to offer.
We loved the idea of developing a system for overhauling, extending and refurbishing this house type that could be replicated in the local area with external cladding options and very efficient space planning.
The budget was, as ever, limiting and so some specific solutions had to be found to price/spec/aesthetic conundrums. The result is a very crisp and interesting exterior, understated with a tardis like series of internal spaces. We extended at loft level UP, ground floor rear OUT, and into the garage SIDE which has enabled us to create 5/6 bedroom and flexible use spaces; a large dining; kitchen and living space; a utility/boot-room; entrance lobby; plant room/store and generous circulation. 2 bedrooms are en-suite and light pours in everywhere which gives the house a luxurious feel.
We’re on the Scandi bandwagon too (for the interior) mixing timber, warm tones, homemade fixtures and lighting to create moods throughout.
2017 sees the completion of the garden with Andy Steadman Designs and entry to several competitions to promote the scheme and its approach.
This project is currently the subject of lots of social media coverage and is featured in August 2017 Ideal Home magazine.
We are hoping this opens the door to other beachside projects as does the builder and his team!
Timberlake Custom HomesThis gorgeous modern home sits along a rushing river and includes a separate enclosed pavilion. Distinguishing features include the mixture of metal, wood and stone textures throughout the home in hues of brown, grey and black.

3R Design StudioA Guest Bedroom redesign for this client who wanted a updated and invited space for their guests. The sage green walls were existing and the king bed was also existing. All new soft furnishing were added with new artwork, dresser and king headboard. Working with the sage green walls the colour scheme was white, blue and green accents and black punches of colour. Artwork was soothing and mirrored the surroundings of the house creating a calm and relaxing guest bedroom.

Данное помещение не должно было отличаться от остальных по стилю и изначально предполагало максимальный аскетизм и строгость в интерьере. Тем не менее, возведение четырех одинаково серых стен не выход, поэтому упор сделан на стену в изголовье кровати. Она выполнена в текстуре камня, но поскольку камень, сам по себе материал довольно холодный и тяжелый, более того, имеет швы, мы выбрали декоративную штукатурку, которая выполнена по индивидуальным образцам, согласованными с клиентом.
Освещение в комнате, по аналогии с кухней-гостиной, имеет большое количество сценариев. Кроме верхнего общего света в виде точечных светильников и люстры в комнате есть светодиодная лента спрятанная в нише,что позволяет создать приятную вечернюю атмосферу в мягком свете. У каждой тумбочки есть индивидуальная лампа для чтения, также есть и подсветка рабочей поверхности письменного стола.
