In this photo, you can see the linear fireplace with white stacked stone. The fireplace is remote controlled and also controlled by a light switch. You will also notice the floating stairs, which are made out of steel and painted to match the hardwood stain on both the floor and the other stair treads.

The light gray color palette opens the room and allows the decorative touches of jade pillars and oversize chartreuse chairs room to breathe. The massive floor to ceiling ledge stone wall makes the corner fireplace the real focal point of the living room. However, not to overshadow the custom sofas and unique 2-piece custom coffee table by Fede Furniture. Adding custom art work to large room really enhance the beauty of this design.

Situated in Denton, Texas these clients sought a personalized home from the ground up. It was important that their eclectic style be evidenced in every facet of the home to reflect their lively personalities. The project scope encompassed the dining, kitchen, breakfast nook, living, master bedroom, and master bathroom. Color, fixtures, furnishings, materials, artwork, and accessories were carefully selected to reflect a collective atmosphere and communicate the common theme of vibrancy. One significant challenge was the husband's fear of color. While he has an outgoing personality he did not want the home to feel loud and obnoxious. Putting him at ease was accomplished by presenting a comprehensive design plan with samples laid out so that he gained a clear understanding of how the home would flow together in harmony. This family feels unashamedly comfortable in their perfectly curated oasis. Photos by Sally Sloan of Showcase Photographers

After demolishing an enclosed porch, this cozy room was built in its place on the back of this English Tudor home. Western Windows sliding glass doors have four panels that stack together at the last panel. The family game table doubles as a dining table in football/hockey/baseball seasons. Reclaimed wood boards line the ceiling. A corner fireplace stone fascade, made to match the Tudor front door, and the exposed brick are reminders of the 1927 beginning of this house. Whimsical beach accessories keep the owners dreaming of the ocean from their Dallas home.

A favorite of the home, this fireplace surround was original to the home, but updated with a black slate surround and hearth bringing a modern touch to the ornate and traditional detailing.
