Dig Your Garden Landscape DesignAPLD 2021 Silver Award Winning Landscape Design. An expansive back yard landscape with several mature oak trees and a stunning Golden Locust tree has been transformed into a welcoming outdoor retreat. The renovations include a wraparound deck, an expansive travertine natural stone patio, stairways and pathways along with concrete retaining walls and column accents with dramatic planters. The pathways meander throughout the landscape... some with travertine stepping stones and gravel and those below the majestic oaks left natural with fallen leaves. Raised vegetable beds and fruit trees occupy some of the sunniest areas of the landscape. A variety of low-water and low-maintenance plants for both sunny and shady areas include several succulents, grasses, CA natives and other site-appropriate Mediterranean plants complimented by a variety of boulders. Bloom Garden DesignWe chose to complement the impressive physical dimensions of this log home with thoughtful placement of large boulders. Low plantings feature a variety of textures, and a curvy retaining wall provides a natural border without blocking the magnificent view of the lake. Elegantly curved stone paths link separate spaces together while inviting you to stroll through the gardens surrounding the house.

Growsgreen Landscape DesignThe cedar tub relates to the cedar deck, benches and beam screens. This view is from the door of the ADU looking out into the space. The greenhouse like material we used on the fence acts as a changing art piece where the shadows and lights interact with it. I designed it to be modern Shoji like screens.

Complete with a new patio, custom boulder fountain, uplighting, olive tree, hand stacked rock wall, steel edging to help create depth & structure, and a hand-selected grouping of plants and boulders to give this yard exceptional character.

We designed and installed this dramatic living wall / vertical garden to add a welcoming focal point, and a great way to add living beauty to the large front house wall. The dated walkway was updated with large geometric concrete pavers with polished black pebbles in between, and a new concrete driveway. Water-wise grasses flowering plants and succulents replace the lawn. This updated modern renovation for this mid-century modern home includes a new garage and front entrance door and modern garden light fixtures. Some photos taken 2 months after installation and recently as well. We designed and installed this dramatic living wall / vertical garden to add a welcoming focal point, and a great way to add plant beauty to the large front wall. A variety of succulents, grass-like and cascading plants were designed and planted to provide long cascading "waves" resulting in appealing textures and colors. June Scott DesignDesigned for a Cliff May "Rancho" home, this project resulted comfortable outdoor spaces for relaxation and entertaining. New walls and fencing, softened with lush planting, create a private atmosphere. And a casual, meadow-style garden filled with California native plants echoes the home's open, airy feeling.
