Pinnacle Design & RemodelingOnly a few minutes from the project to the Right (Another Minnetonka Finished Basement) this space was just as cluttered, dark, and underutilized.
Done in tandem with Landmark Remodeling, this space had a specific aesthetic: to be warm, with stained cabinetry, a gas fireplace, and a wet bar.
They also have a musically inclined son who needed a place for his drums and piano. We had ample space to accommodate everything they wanted.
We decided to move the existing laundry to another location, which allowed for a true bar space and two-fold, a dedicated laundry room with folding counter and utility closets.
The existing bathroom was one of the scariest we've seen, but we knew we could save it.
Overall the space was a huge transformation!

Dion Seminara ArchitectureThe proposal included an extension to the rear of the home and a period renovation of the classic heritage architecture of the existing home. The features of Glentworth were retained, it being a heritage home being a wonderful representation of a classic early 1880s Queensland timber colonial residence.
The site has a two street frontage which allowed showcasing the period renovation of the outstanding historical architectural character at one street frontage (which accords with the adjacent historic Rosalie townscape) – as well as a stunning contemporary architectural design viewed from the other street frontage.
The majority of changes were made to the rear of the house, which cannot be seen from the Rosalie Central Business Area.

Design Decisions -
Ditch the idea of stuffing every nook and cranny with couches and create a cosy and relaxed informal living space with the beanbags and floor cushions.
- Grey wainscoting on the walls create the perfect backdrop
- Sheer white curtains added for the light and airy feel
- Addition of French provincial mirror create a comprehensible juxtaposition
Leanne Michael L U X E lifestyle designThis casita was completely renovated from floor to ceiling in preparation of Airbnb short term romantic getaways. The color palette of teal green, blue and white was brought to life with curated antiques that were stripped of their dark stain colors, collected fine linens, fine plaster wall finishes, authentic Turkish rugs, antique and custom light fixtures, original oil paintings and moorish chevron tile and Moroccan pattern choices.
Mauve & BrownA pair of lounge chairs teamed with a side table (made of granite and metal) that serve well for a candid chat, a quiet afternoon spent reading a book or just listening to some good music.
