Windsor CompaniesThe entire grounds of this Lake Minnetonka home was renovated as part of a major home remodel.
The orientation of the entrance was improved to better align automobile traffic. The new permeable driveway is built of recycled clay bricks placed on gravel. The remainder of the front yard is organized by soft lawn spaces and large Birch trees. The entrance to the home is accentuated by masses of annual flowers that frame the bluestone steps.
On the lake side of the home a secluded, private patio offers refuge from the more publicly viewed backyard.
This project earned Windsor Companies a Grand Honor award and Judge's Choice by the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association.

FormLA LandscapingWalking past the Retreat is a delight, rain or shine, and in any season. Lined with Cleveland, Pitchers and White Sage, the garden scents the street with a distinct array of minty-fresh fragrance year round. In spring, blooms add to the delight, as does the sweet scent of California Lilac floating down from the top of the slope.
Home & Garden Design, Atlanta - Danna Cain, ASLAThis play area is located so that Mom can keep an eye on the kids from the kitchen, deck or rear patio. The circular stone border contains the mulch and repeats the smaller circular stone border around the fire pit area. Matching stepping stones connect those spaces as well as connect the play area to patio and steps entering the back yard. Chartreuse plants help to brighten this vary shady space.
