Interiors by PopovThis is another favorite home redesign project.
Throughout my career, I've worked with some hefty budgets on a number of high-end projects. You can visit Paris Kitchens and Somerset Kitchens, companies that I have worked for previously, to get an idea of what I mean. I could start name dropping here, but I won’t, because that's not what this project is about. This project is about a small budget and a happy homeowner.
This was one of the first projects with a custom interior design at a fraction of a regular budget. I could use the term “value engineering” to describe it, because this particular interior was heavily value engineered.
The result: a sophisticated interior that looks so much more expensive than it is. And one ecstatic homeowner. Mission impossible accomplished.
P.S. Don’t ask me how much it cost, I promised the homeowner that their impressive budget will remain confidential.
In any case, no one would believe me even if I spilled the beans.

The PhineryConverted this small room off the kitchen into a hip entertaining space. The counter height console table from Restoration Hardware works well for displaying appetizers and having casual meals. Room also functions well for kids - providing a great space near the kitchen for doing homework. Custom artwork was painted to pull in the colors of the brick fireplace surround and beige/gray tones of the draperies and floors. A vintage pendant light, greenery, and candles complete the space.
Dona DesignsWe used a customer's antique makeup vanity in this modern farmhouse home and created a charming space for a young lady to dress herself or even study. The plain vanity chair was tied into the design of the space by coordinating fabrics and making it more feminine with a skirt and tie-back.

The Mosaic FactoryThe composition of layers, the palette of shades, and the use of natural materials (concrete and granulate) give this stone his warm feel and romantic look. The Odyssee stone is 100 percent frost-resistant and can therefore be used indoors and outdoors. With a variety of sizes it's easy to make that realistic random looking wall. Stone Design is durable, easy to clean, does not discolor and is moist, frost, and heat resistant. The light weight panels are easy to install with a regular thin set mortar (tile adhesive) based on the subsurface conditions. The subtle variatons in color and shape make it look and feel like real stone. After treatment with a conrete sealer this stone is even more easy to keep clean.
Bella Systems - Custom ClosetsBella Systems-Custom Closets has created ample space by providing a double hanging area and a single hanging storage area with drawers and shelves in the center. This space also has shoe shelves along the bottom under the single hang.

Studio DearbornA lovely Colonial revival in Larchmont NY was begging for a fresh start. Custom cabinetry by Studio Dearborn in a soft grey was fitted into the compact kitchen utilizing every inch of space. A muted palette keeps the space feeling light, allowing the colorful Le Creuset cookware to take center stage. Bosch cooktop, Signature Hardware range hood, Kohler faucet, Kraus sink, Sonoma Marketplace Pure white bevel subway tile 3x6. Cabinetry custom color match to Benjamin Moore Balboa Mist.
