The Bose Freespace 51 is a 360 degree speaker. Normally we would have kept this speaker in a little bit tighter to the plantings but the rocks would have blocked the sound. Instead we backed them up a little to allow the homeowner to enjoy there music without having to crank the volume. This is a very important consideration when dealing with outdoor areas and neighbors. Even ones that are hundreds of yards away.
