Zen bath and vanity
Clean lines and simple geometry create a relaxing retreat in the Asian inspired bath. One goal of this project was to find creative and innovative ways to use eco friendlily materials where possible. Bamboo plywood was an obvious choice. In addition to being fast growing and sustainably harvested, it does not off gas VOC's which pollute the home environment. From a design perspective it is a solid stable material with an interesting linear grain pattern and a hard surface. The thick surface veneer creates the possibility to add thick heavy elements to a piece, which are actually light weight and structurally stable.
