Amber Freda Garden Design
We love the night and day transformation this garden took on when our client requested a zen garden for her backyard in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. It’s always fun to be asked to design a garden with so many charming creative elements. Our re-design included brown bamboo fencing to cover a very bright white vinyl fence, a fountain, loose grey stones, dark brown deck tiles, contemporary furnishings, a stone Japanese lantern statue, and white fiberglass planters. The plantings include cherry laurels, bamboo, a red weeping maple, moss, grasses, and variegated euonymus. Overhead globe lights add a cheerful nighttime touch. A new deck with Japanese-style railing was added to a pre-existing deck. The railing was handcrafted by Hiroshi Sakaguchi using traditional Japanese hand tools. To the left is the back side of a partial wall with a bamboo latticed window (shitaji mado).
Puru- Home Ensemble
Grabbing Immediate attention with our new eclectic space. The style infuses the terrace with energy and a fun vibe; a mix and match of trends, decor styles and colours. A vibrant Indian terrace with some bold, some subtle yet eye-catching. Changing the tiles of the terrace with an offset of the beige and red rug. A distressed bench with a playful and selectively curated collection of cushions.
An intriguing eclectic wooden wall mirror that helps turn the accent wall into something more than the sum of its portions. A serene panoramic view of hills.
The eclectic mix of colours, decor and lush plants all come together to make this space astonishingly beautiful and uplift it from its neighbours.
Imagine sitting on your terrace and looking at the sunset in the evening, the sun giving such colourful flairs of light. We created this space keeping in mind both entertainment and utility. Lush yet elegant was my brief and it came out all perfectly with the blend of colours through our decor and furnishings.
Puru- Home Ensemble
Amidst the extreme winter of life in the Pandemic, we thought of bringing hope and some summer elegance to a hi terrace. Set into a contemporary Indian heritage theme, the bright yellow walls open an opportunity for us to play with the soft furnishings which have multiple vibrant colours, this approach is used to intensify the exotic Indian feel. We've paired this feeling of warmth and comfort with tropical energy that is brought in through handpicked lush foliage that creates a soulful aura within and around the space. We've picked up an artisans charm like decorating scheme, by layering it up in textile prints. The key is not to be stern and strict with matching the patterns, as the inherent nature of the block print itself speaks that no two designs are the same, Hence the use of clashing patterns magnifies the individual uniqueness of each design itself. We've kept a tonal colour palette while playing and having fun with the designs. Pops of contrasting colour on tableware along with the accessories are a fitting accompaniment to achieving a crisp design. Each piece is intricately picked up with a summerful feeling to add comfort, utility and emotions to space.
