Normandy RemodelingNormandy Designer Vince Weber, worked closely with the homeowners to create an open and spacious floorplan with timeless beauty and appeal. “The existing kitchen was isolated from the rest of the house,” says Weber. “One of the redesign goals of the homeowners was to tie the kitchen with the living room to create a ‘living kitchen’ that would function as the central gathering space for the family.” The resulting design paired timeless colors and classic inset cabinetry to give the kitchen a casual elegance. The island was designed to feel like a furniture piece, which creates a visual divide between functioning kitchen, and the informal eating and living space.

SINGLEPOINT DESIGN BUILD INC.Dining room and main hallway. Modern fireplace wall has herringbone tile pattern and custom wood shelving. The main hall has custom wood trusses that bring the feel of the 16' tall ceilings down to earth. The steel dining table is 4' x 10' and was built specially for the space.
American Institute of Architects, San FranciscoA complete rebuild of a 1950s modern home, this project combines spatial openness, a consistent use of materials, and reconfiguration of the ground plane to bring light deep into this home and frame views of the park beyond. Daylight is introduced to the home through two new shafts of windows and skylights above the living areas. A sculptural steel and limestone stair serves as a spatially dynamic centerpiece for the home, connecting the new second floor and addition of a lower level.
