Woodhouse and LawOur clients on this project have very happy memories of their time in the Italian Mediterranean, which they visit each year. They were keen to make these memories last that bit longer by creating their very own piece of that special part of the world in their garden space. The billowing silver foliage of olive trees, lavender and santolina constrasts with the dark green vertical columns of cypress. Further splashes of colour are provided by, amongst others, agapanthus, cephalaria and alliums. Aged terracotta planters were imported from the Mediterranean to create real centre pieces and height interest. This garden was at the front of the property so became a talking point in the village in no time – we really enjoyed getting to meet all of the wonderful people in the village who option popped by to say hello and discuss the plants.
LiquidscapesLiving within a development was not this clients choice, but due to a job offer and transfer she had to make the move. So creating a passive and quite environment was the goal from the start. Our intent was to soften the hard lines of the home and surroundings, along with creating a very private front entry and secluded rear yard. The raised masonry deck and lower level terrace with a tasteful pergola, was a place to escape and relax after a long day at the office.
