Talianko Design Group, LLCA Cape Cod style home with a backyard patio inspired by the East Coast. A casually elegant Hamptons style deck lends to family BBQs and relaxing in the afternoons. AdytumWe were brought in as the final big piece of an ongoing project. The homeowner had partially renovated the interior of their existing 1 1/2 storey brick home. What we were asked was to redesign/develop the 1/2 storey into a full storey without losing the roof line of the surrounding neighbourhood. Our home owner was also very clear that they were looking for this home to be a cottage in the city. The interiors here were left for the homeowner to personalize as time and resources permitted.
David Thorne Landscape ArchitectThe steep site unveils rich garden vignettes elegantly integrated through carefully crafted stone walls, stone paths, and abundant plantings. The stepping stone path sweeps down around the house changing scenes from a sunny rose garden to a shady glen, and grounds the visitor at bluestone terrace patios off the main living areas, which can be accessed from the interior through a collection of French doors.
This Piedmont residence received the 2009 Design Award as the Best Remodel and Landscape.
