California RenovationOur client was looking for a unique countertop to fit their tropical/beach theme. Our talented sales representative Tim was able to create this stunning piece out of resin. In this photo you can see the details in the ocean waves!

The DesignoryThe Barefoot Bay Cottage is the first-holiday house to be designed and built for boutique accommodation business, Barefoot Escapes (www.barefootescapes.com.au). Working with many of The Designory’s favourite brands, it has been designed with an overriding luxe Australian coastal style synonymous with Sydney based team. The newly renovated three bedroom cottage is a north facing home which has been designed to capture the sun and the cooling summer breeze. Inside, the home is light-filled, open plan and imbues instant calm with a luxe palette of coastal and hinterland tones. The contemporary styling includes layering of earthy, tribal and natural textures throughout providing a sense of cohesiveness and instant tranquillity allowing guests to prioritise rest and rejuvenation.

Progressive Design BuildThe renovated kitchen now includes fresh white Cambria Quartz countertops on the dual kitchen islands along with an updated backsplash of natural stone. The stunning focal point of the kitchen is a beautiful wave-like 3D panel on the front of the island illuminated with colorful LED lights. Engineered hardwood flooring in a rich tone was installed with a glue-down application that complements the architectural style of the home.

Dura Supreme CabinetryBeautiful Storage - The end of an island is a great place to tuck a spice rack in a shallow cabinet (ISLTPA-DR or ISLTPA-OS).
Columbus’s quest to discover a western trade route to the exotic spice ports in the East Indies, led to the discovery of tropical islands in the Caribbean that became known as the West Indies. Despite the variety of architectural and design influences from Europe, there are several indigenous design elements that are iconic to these islands.
Woven cane and rattan furnishings were airy and light in this humid, tropical environment. Gauzy fabrics, sun-baked colors, and louvered shutters were hallmarks. Heavy woods, like Mahogany, held up well in the tropics, and rich dark finishes were common. Islanders used tropical motifs in their furniture carvings – palm fronds, pineapples, and other island flora.

MOKULUA High Performance BuilderCRAFTSMAN COTTAGE
Completed 2008 in Kailua, Oahu
A fine example of custom new construction, this Craftsman Cottage is a sustainable builders showcase; the first home in Hawaii to receive the Hawaii Built Green Award, in recognition as sustainable new construction project with features that promote environmental wellbeing. The defined entry way is an invitation into this Hawaiian style residence that replicates old Hawaii construction. Mixing elements such as moss rock, reclaimed shake siding, board and batten on the exterior with natural wood flooring, vaulted ceilings, tongue and groove wall panels on the interior give this Kailua new construction a character all its own.
Perhaps what is most unique are the sustainable features found around every corner. The usual energy star appliances, insulated windows and low voltage lighting are combined with unique sustainable construction methods such as vented crown molding, reclaimed woods used to dress the interior, low flow plumbing fixtures, control of storm water run off and the utilization of rain water for irrigation. The final product is a unique new construction that characterizes a true dedication to workmanship and the environment.
