Larkspur Lane DesignAdding custom storage was a big part of the renovation of this 1950s home, including creating spaces to show off some quirky vintage accessories such as transistor radios, old cameras, homemade treasures and travel souvenirs (such as these little wooden camels from Morocco and London Black Cab).
Essex GrandI mixed this green wall paint to emulate the greenery of a forest. In contrast, I paired the bedding with cool silvers and crisp whites.
Bench at the foot of the bed was a great find for $70 at local home goods store!
Inspire QA neutral color scheme and unassuming accessories create a style that's the perfect blend of old and new. The sleek lines of a minimalist design are showcase in the Sofia Platform bed, complemented by modern, understated bedding. Amidst the warm, walnut wood finishes and beige backdrop, the bedspread's warm gray fabric and accent chair's charcoal upholstery add dimension to the space. A soft, fleece-white rug underfoot references the bed's headboard and brings an airy and inviting sense to the overall design.

Jon Lowe ArchitectA typical 1960’s Adelaide residence is radically transformed for a young family without changing the footprint. The existing kitchen was boxed-in and the dining room faced a cramped gazebo on the western side of the house with no connection to the rear yard. The solution was to remove the wall between the kitchen and dining room, create a large new north-facing opening to a new rear deck, and add a window seat in the living room to make it feel bigger without adding floor area, but massively improving the cross ventilation. We also moved the carport to the front driveway and added a second living space under the main roof, for extra flexibility.
The new carport and verandah design riffs on the retro California style, with futuristic curved steel columns and lightweight flowing roofs. The internal and external materials and finishes both compliment the original sandstone and cream brickwork and bring the clients love of native plants to life.
Manhattan Home DesignAs the kitchen is in the center of the house, we finished it with wish bone chairs they perfectly complement industrial wooden table they have. We kept the old chandelier and vase.
The CousinsOn our new series for ellentube, we are focused on creating affordable spaces in a short time ($1,000 budget & 24 hrs). This small Master bedroom needed stage for the owners plants and a feature wall that put them on display. We custom built this headboard to the ceiling for only $50!

In an earlier stage of the properties ownership... a large garden space was fenced in and lay fallow. Now, this large lawn is well used by a Boxer puppy and its owner. Denise MazanThis home was created for a sweet family that escaped a domestic violence situation and became homeless. She is a single, working mother of two little girls ages 3 and 5 years old. When I met them they had just gotten their apartment and were living in it with literally nothing, no beds, no furniture, not even dishes. They lived that way for over two months while I pulled together donations from everyone I knew working with @penandnapking.org. We couldn't have done it without the most generous donations from @polyandbark, @lampsplus and @thepaintlab, plus all of the amazing volunteers.
