Convert the existing deck to a new indoor / outdoor space with retractable EZ Breeze windows for full enclosure, cable railing system for minimal view obstruction and space saving spiral staircase, fireplace for ambiance and cooler nights with LVP floor for worry and bug free entertainment

We built this new Timbertech in 2018 and a few years later, these homeowners got a new Hot Tub under the deck and was looking for privacy. We then built a horizontal decking privacy wall to match the decking. We also wrapped the footing posts and beams to complete their backyard deck project. Wall looks great and really completes the final look of the whole project. With this stay-at-home pandemic – the homeowners have much more time to enjoy the privacy in their new hot tub.

Our clients call this structure their tree house. It has become a four season retreat for their family. The surrounding trees give privacy and ambiance to this space. Heated by a gas fireplace and electric (Infratech) heaters, the space is welcoming throughout the year. It also features a pass through window into the home's kitchen with a bar, sink, grill and plenty of counter space and storage. Skylights keep light flowing into the space during the day. The space underneath the deck provides shelter for the family dogs and plenty of space to romp.
On the opposite side of the backyard, there is a two-tiered patio that incorporates a seat wall, planting and a fire pit. Multiple garden rooms provide plenty of spaces from which to enjoy the property in small groups or during a larger party.
Low voltage lighting was installed that has zoning, dimming and color changing functions. The color can be changed seasonally or adjusted so that the perfect temperature of light is being used in each location.
The end result is a series of welcoming spaces for all weather conditions.

This was a large project that required a few steps to complete.
We began by framing the deck over landscape fabric with pressure treated lumber. Then the pressure treated wood skirting was added, so that we could use it as a backer for all of the coloured stone we laid down to cover the entire backyard.
Sea Salt Gray composite decking from TimberTech's Edge Prime + collection was used as the decking, stair treads and fascia on the upper deck and stair stringers.
Supplied by Alpa Outdoor Products, the tan railings are built with galvanized steel for reinforced strength and cladded in the highest quality vinyl.
An alternative to aluminum and wood railing, vinyl railing offers a variety of distinctive styles and colours to ensure a match with your home improvement project.
An amazing transformation of this backyard space from nothing but grass and a small landing, to an entirely no maintenance oasis.

With customisable folding options, superior security and an easy to operate design, our aluminium bi fold doors are a popular choice for entertainment areas. They are sometimes referred to as ‘concertina doors’ or ‘folding doors’ and come in two types: standard and corner.

Under a fully automated bio-climatic pergola, a dining area and outdoor kitchen have been created on a raised composite deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with SubZero Wolf appliances, outdoor pizza oven, warming drawer, barbecue and sink, with a granite worktop. Heaters and screens help to keep the party going into the evening, as well as lights incorporated into the pergola, whose slats can open and close electronically. A decorative screen creates an enhanced backdrop and ties into the pattern on the 'decorative rug' around the firebowl.

Our clients wanted the ultimate modern farmhouse custom dream home. They found property in the Santa Rosa Valley with an existing house on 3 ½ acres. They could envision a new home with a pool, a barn, and a place to raise horses. JRP and the clients went all in, sparing no expense. Thus, the old house was demolished and the couple’s dream home began to come to fruition.
The result is a simple, contemporary layout with ample light thanks to the open floor plan. When it comes to a modern farmhouse aesthetic, it’s all about neutral hues, wood accents, and furniture with clean lines. Every room is thoughtfully crafted with its own personality. Yet still reflects a bit of that farmhouse charm.
Their considerable-sized kitchen is a union of rustic warmth and industrial simplicity. The all-white shaker cabinetry and subway backsplash light up the room. All white everything complimented by warm wood flooring and matte black fixtures. The stunning custom Raw Urth reclaimed steel hood is also a star focal point in this gorgeous space. Not to mention the wet bar area with its unique open shelves above not one, but two integrated wine chillers. It’s also thoughtfully positioned next to the large pantry with a farmhouse style staple: a sliding barn door.
The master bathroom is relaxation at its finest. Monochromatic colors and a pop of pattern on the floor lend a fashionable look to this private retreat. Matte black finishes stand out against a stark white backsplash, complement charcoal veins in the marble looking countertop, and is cohesive with the entire look. The matte black shower units really add a dramatic finish to this luxurious large walk-in shower.

The client wanted a better flow throughout their landscape, as well as introduce straight lines to a space to modernize the irregular shaped pool.
Their upper deck was where they did a majority of their entertaining so ensuring this space was large enough for both dining and lounge was the starting point of the design. Introducing privacy from the many on looking neighbours, without completely blocking it off from the rest of their own yard was important. Laser cut privacy screens added this filtered privacy.
A round hot tub was added to the back corner of the property, which otherwise seemed like wasted space. Highlighted by the privacy panels in the same pattern used on the deck to create some consistency.
Trees were both maintained and added where needs along the property to add greenery and privacy. The entire space now feels open within the backyard, but private from neighbours.

You typically see these types of decks on new homes, which are installed by the builder. They are supported by metal brackets that are securely fastened to the foundation. This is a great way to construct a small deck for access, without having to build on blocks, patio stones, concrete piers or helical piles.
They can range from 3', 4' and even 5' out from the wall and can be as long as you like given there is room for multiple brackets.
Here, we replaced one of those builder decks that was roughly 20 years old with a new 4' x 5' deck and stairs while using the existing metal brackets!

These Leander clients were looking for a big deck upgrade in a tight space. They longed for better usability of their outdoor living area by way of a dual-level, low-maintenance deck. On each level, they wished for particular accommodations and usage. A gathering area on the upper level and a hot tub on the lower. The result is a tidy Leander TX deck with room to move!
